Vision

It is the vision of the Lawrenceburg Community Center to assist Lawrenceburg in reaching its full potential by actively seeking to engage our community.  It is our vision that all individuals would take a vigorous interest in their Community Center so that the Center reflects the ideas, values, and beliefs of all Lawrenceburg area residents.

Guiding Values

We will work to create a Community Center that adheres to the values of respect, integrity, collaboration, and a pursuit of excellence.

  • Respect: We believe everyone belongs and everyone matters.
    • We embrace diversity in all forms.
  • Integrity: We will provide a dependable facility that is honest and transparent.
    • All employees are leaders in their community and will provide the highest level of integrity to all people regardless of circumstances.
  • Collaboration: We will work to be externally focused every day.
    • The community members are our shareholders and those who utilize the facility will be heard.
  • Pursuit of Excellence: We will seek added value for the community.
    • Our programs and services should always seek to add value to the lives of those in our community.

Director Richard Richardson

Richard Richardson

I am a 2005 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School and hold an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Ivy Tech and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Indiana University.  I served as Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Lawrenceburg from 2018-2019 and loved working with the various stakeholders in our City.  I grew up on Margaret Street, in the downtown area, and frequently spent time walking across town to visit my grandmother on East High Street.  I’ve seen the City change over the years but it has never lost its small town sensibility.  It’s a place where all are welcome.  It is my goal to make sure that the same attitude is brought, each and every day, to the Lawrenceburg Community Center.  We are working to cultivate a Center that is externally focused on our citizens and welcoming to all people no matter where they come from on life’s journey.
